GRATITUDE IS THE ATTITUDE – Annual Thanksgiving Jam

November 29, 2024 –

This annual Thanksgiving gathering has always held a special place in our hearts and in our community, a warm get-together for a hot meal and good music among old friends. It’s an opportunity for the JFA board and staff to express gratitude and appreciation for the musicians who make our lives brighter. This year we had about 150 guests, with everyone in the room smiling ear-to-ear and hugs abounding.

In the photo above, vocalist/flutist Gabriel Romance dances with 93-years-young clothing designer/local legend June Terry at the Jazz Foundation of America’s annual Holiday Jam, held last Monday at the A. Philip Randolph Senior Citizen Center in Harlem. (Photo Credit: Enid Farber.)

Wishing you, our Jazz Foundation family of supporters, a season of big smiles and bigger hugs, with huge thanks for your commitment to the cause. Because of you, JFA is always here to provide a lifeline to artists in need, especially at this time of year when it can mean the most.

Scroll ahead for JFA details on upcoming shows, recent video highlights and holiday gift ideas from our friends at 32 Bar Blues and artist Jim Watt.
