Come join us to witness Patience Higgins Quartet live at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem or on our Facebook Livestream! Patience Higgins is a multi-reed player who has been a member of the Duke Ellington Orchestra for over twenty years. He has played at the White House in front of the Obamas and also toured and recorded with Frank Foster and Count Basie Orchestra, Savion Glover, Aretha Franklin, Lionel Hampton, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Scott, Wallace Roney, Sam Rivers, Hamiet Bluiett and many others. He's played in Broadway shows like Avenue Q, Dreamgirls, The Wiz, Ain't MisBehavin', Bubbling Brown Sugar, Black & Blue, Runaways, and Hair. His Sugar Hill Quartet was the longest running band at the legendary St Nick's Pub, and he remains ubiquitous at uptown venues.
