Queensbridge Park

Queens native Kim Clarke is a sought-after bassist in both the jazz and R&B realms, best known for her long associations with jazz legend Bertha Hope and the influential funk group Defunkt. In 2015 the Jazz Journalists' Association named her a New York City Jazz Hero, in large part due to her founding of the long-running Lady Got Chops Festival.
