Billy "Spaceman" Patterson is a multi-talented, virtuosic musician, best known for his guitar playing and production work. He has performed and/or recorded with a wide array of musical legends: Miles Davis, Luther Vandross, Sun Ra, Alicia Keys, Tom Browne, Larry Young, LL Cool J, Stevie Wonder, Ornette Coleman, Sly Stone, Roberta Flack, Curtis Mayfield, James Brown, Nancy Wilson, Wallace Roney, David Sanborn, Herbie Hancock, Grover Washington Jr. Robert Glasper, George Clinton, Yusef Lateef, The Isley Brothers, Mtume, Hamiet Bluiett, Michael Henderson, Gary Bartz, Al Green, Doug E. Fresh, James "Blood" Ulmer, Jazmine Sullivan, Bootsy Collins, Pharaoh Sanders, B. B. King, Joe Henderson, T.S. Monk, Mariah Carey, Maceo Parker, Teddy Pendergrass, La India, Frank Ocean, and many others. He has made musical contributions to many TV and movie projects, including "A Different World," "Sesame Street" and "House Party", and to theatrical productions. For this concert he brings his electrifying group, the Celestials.
