Pianist and composer Brandon Goldberg is a special talent. At 14 years old, Goldberg has already performed at top venues including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Apollo Theater (JFA), Newport Jazz Festival and Litchfield Jazz Festival, as well as at major competitions, conventions, and television programs.
Goldberg released his debut album, “LET’S PLAY!” in April 2019 to rave reviews garnering four stars from Downbeat Magazine and reaching top seven on the Jazz Week charts. He’s about to head back into studio the to record his second album with Ralph Peterson, Jr., Josh Evans, Stacy Dillard, and Luques Curtis.
DownBeat’s Student Music Awards—a prestigious contest open to students through college and university—named Goldberg the first place winner in the Jazz Soloist (2018-2020), Original Composition (2019-2020) and Jazz Arrangement categories (2020).
Brandon works closely with the Jazz Foundation of America (JFA) to help raise funds for musicians in need and performed at the JFA annual Gala – A Great Night in Harlem at the famous Apollo Theater in New York, where he presented McCoy Tyner with his Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.
