The Huffington Post has described the Loft Party as “the most ecstatic music experience I’ve had since Woodstock.”

Our 2019 lineup hearkens back to the spirit of ’69, exploring the legacy of that landmark year for music and culture with a special program curated by JFA’s Grammy-winning Artistic Director, Steve Jordan.

This year’s event will feature four hours of performances and continuous food and drink, with bands on two stages plus a lush listening lounge with special guest DJ’s spinning the music that has united audiences around the world and across generations for the past half-century.

Performers include three-time Grammy-winner Wallace Roney, who will reimagine Miles Davis’ pioneering 1969 album “In a Silent Way,” which charted bold new territory for music with its blend of jazz and rock sounds. In addition, “The Prince of New Orleans” Davell Crawford will lead a second line tribute to the recently departed musical icons Dr. John, Dave Bartholomew, and Art Neville.

We are also thrilled to announce Roy Haynes as the recipient of the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award. Now 94, Roy paved the way for everyone at our “Night for the Soul” over the past 70 years, shaping some of the greatest recordings in history with his exuberant drumming and collaborating with legendary artists from Charlie Parker and Ella Fitzgerald to Chick Corea and Pat Metheny.

MORE ARTISTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON, WITH MANY SURPRISES TO COME.
