Wayne Maureau
Drummer Wayne Maureau is a 30 year veteran of the New Orleans music scene. Best known for his Stylistic diversity, solid grooves and dynamic improvisation he has performed with top tier artists in multiple genres at festivals and music venues around the world. Wayne Maureau’s Nu Vieuxdoo is his all original project that explores New Orleans musical connection to the Caribbean. The wide range of styles covers funky jazz, contemporary street beats, island grooves and South American rhythms. The diversity of the compositions can be heard on Wayne’s latest record “At the Water’s Edge”.
