In partnership with Hudson River Park, The Jazz Foundation of America presents Gregory Lewis Organ Monk.


Virtuoso organist, pianist and composer Gregory Lewis is a mainstay on the city's jazz, blues and funk scenes. Raving about this project, which brings the compositions of Thelonious Monk to the Hammond organ, Howard Mandel wrote of Lewis: "He's possessed with making music that flies." Lewis' recent work has been acknowledged in the New York Times and Downbeat, and by Chamber Music America.
