An esteemed pianist, composer, arranger and bandleader, Onaje Allan Gumbs was born in Harlem and raised in Queens. He has accompanied and arranged for an array of important artists like Kenny Burrell, Woody Shaw, Norman Connors, Nat Adderley, Phyllis Hyman and TS Monk, and has released seven albums as a leader.
