The songs of Tacony Creek Suite are the monumental creative reflections of Olney, Philadelphia-based composer, performer and educator, Professor Randy J. Gibson. They are compositions that reflect his deepening engagement with the beauty and travails of the under-appreciated urban green space that comprises Tacony Creek Park. In tandem with the release of the new album, the companion concert film featuring Professor Gibson and his Double Portion Ensemble will have its debut on December 19 at 8:00pm and 9:30pm.

The Suite began under a seed grant from the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership and expanded into a complete song cycle through The Olney Embrace Project. For information about the Suite and the overall project, go to olneyculturelab.org.
