The mission of the Jazz Foundation of America (JFA) is to provide compassionate, personalized support to lifelong jazz and blues musicians in need, as a result of age, illness or circumstances Most Jazz musicians live paycheck to paycheck in ordinary times, with little to no safety net. With the arrival of the pandemic, thousands of jazz and blues musicians lost virtually everything overnight and face unprecedented needs.

The Jazz Foundation’s COVID-19 Musicians’ Emergency Fund was established to provide urgent, basic assistance to desperate musicians all across America including Puerto Rico. Support includes: putting food and groceries on the table (to prevent hunger), helping with rents and mortgages (to prevent homelessness), facilitating pro-bono medical assistance, assuring emergency financial support, assisting with disaster relief, instrument repair and replacement, and so much more.

Thank you for your show of love and support to these extraordinary musicians who provide the soundtracks to all our lives.
